So you need help or you decided what home-based business opportunity is good for you. So many people try their hand at there own home-based business but failed because they didn't stick to a plan. Well I have a short list of what fundamentals are needed to help you succeed. This is a short but useful list to help with your business plan. Follow these five rules closely and they will also help you stay focused.

1) Plan your business.

a) What is your investment? Meaning what are you willing to spend.

b) What is your intended profit? Ex: My monthly income will average $3000.

c) Who will you be marketing to? Ex: Individuals, businesses, moms or etc.

d) How will you market? Ex: Through the mail, by foot, via web, etc...

e) How many hours are you willing to work. Remember home businesses can be demanding.

2) Arrange a separate and organized workspace.

3) Keep track of your spending. You are the accountant in the start of your business.

4) Stay focused; don't let another opportunity set you from your goals.

5) Be Patient and Have Discipline! Not everyone gets immediate profit. Remember slow and steady wins the race.
