Home Based Businesses and Parenting Issues

It is not really easy to run a home-based business and be a parent at the same time because your personal life and your business life come at you from so many different angles each and every day. It takes a lot of motivation to be parent and a small-business person running a business out of your home, but it is possible.

Many small-business home-based business parents have rules around a house that when Mommy or Daddy is working they cannot be disturbed unless it is really urgent. This seems to work well for them but it does not work in every case for instance if you have a baby or toddler.

Nevertheless there are many people who are trying to make this work and or one of the spouses is trying to earn a second income in a home-based business. Have you considered starting a home-based business in your home and worried about the parenting issues? Have you figured out a way to separate your personal family life from your business career?

There are many books on the Internet you can buy that explain the best ways to do this and you can learn from other people's experiences who are doing it right now. I know one person who does home schooling and runs a home business and has five kids and still figures out how to make it all work. Hats off to them; that is what I call multitasking. Please consider this in 2006.
