To Start or Not to Start?

Many people are attracted by the tremendous potential of Online Business and Internet Marketing, the stories of average kids and college dropouts made it big in Internet, and home based business opportunity online have been a great motivation and offer hopes to countless of aspiring Netrepreneurs.

People like success stories as a source of inspiration and motivation; and the Online Business never short of such motivation, more so as the Internet offers a multiple streams of 'possible' income.

Before we deal with the possible incomes, you need to understand that with Internet Marketing, the world seems to be your market and many aspiring Netrepreneurs are overwhelmed by this potential and wanted to market 'whatever they canto the world. In marketing, if you really having the perception that the world is your market then you have no market. A 'Market' is where people will buy your products or services not just a gathering of people. You may have a thousand persons standing in front of you, but if they are not interested in what you offer, you have no market! Period. You need to know your 'targeted market' or 'niche market' Get this clear, research and filter the 'possible' income potential in Online Business and Internet Marketing toward what you have to offer.

There are countless of success stories and also countless of people crying wolves and label Internet Marketing or Online Business as scam. Well, one's man meat is another man's poison! You have to make the judgment call yourself.

There are two broad categories in the online business; first is one which does not need a website of your own and the other is you need to have a website of your own to build your business. Funny isn't it? No website of your own to promote Internet Marketing or Online Business? There are many online business opportunities that provide 'cookie cutter' website for their members to promote their business opportunities or services, so what is the different?

This is probably where the distinction is! One of the best distinctions to differentiate the differences between building your own Online Business and those do not is to ask yourself this question, 'What skill can you learn from this Online Business Opportunity'? Some may not qualified this but they are not necessarily scam as some badly hurt entrepreneurs labeled them (some of these opportunities do provide a decent income for many, except that it is not what they claimed to be)

Why do you need to ask this question? Simple, if this business fail, you will have the knowledge, skill and ability to start building a new one and not left to wonder what to do next!

You then need to ask yourself some of the questions such as

  1. Can you duplicate their success?
  2. What resources do I need to duplicate their success?
  3. Does it bring real value to my potential customers and me?

To start your online business, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, study the success patterns of those success stories and follow their footsteps with your own ingenuity, learn and put into practice what you have learned, improve it alone the way. Learn how to 'eat an elephant' i.e. one piece at a time! If you wait until everything is perfect or that you know everything about Online Business before you take your first step, you will never start, remember, "Rome is not built in one Day and the journey of a thousand miles start with a single step!"

Take your first step now!
