Making your Dog Special

Dogs have been referred to through the years as a mans best friend, and, while that may be true dogs have earned a special place in the hearts of men, women and children and fit in as a very real and special member of the family. The bond of love and affection for our dogs certainly makes us want to have our pets look great by taking care of their health with regular check ups and feeding properly as well as grooming . However, there is much more we can do to make our pet the talk of the town. We can add that special touch of a new leather decorative collar, with matching leash, and hat to complete the ensemble! Dressing for that complete CLASSIC LOOK will make your dog the envy of your friends and your neighborhood. Making your dog a STAR can also make you very PROUD. There is so much available to dog owners. Stunning Crystal stones adorn beautiful collars for the most pampered pets. Classic Dog collars are always in good taste.

Training is another important factor in making your dog special. To successfully train your dog, you must be the leader. Show him he cant get away with being rude even if he is the cutest thing alive. While it may seem mean or cruel, its a good idea to show your dog whos boss by pulling rank on him every now and then. He must respect you and therefore learn to respect others. Obedience must be taught while your dog is still young. If not, he will soon learn to whip you into shape .Repetition and consistency is most effective in training. Habits both good and bad are formed by actions being repeated over and over again. So while training your pooch, dont give up easily. Keep up the routine over and over until he has it. Test him often to make sure he still remembers his manners. After you have taught your dog to obey certain commands, you may want to start teaching him a few tricks. Start with sit , roll over etc. and as your dog obeys you, dont forget the treat. By rewarding him with a treat, he will be more likely to try harder and to work at learning new and different tricks. Always be firm and consistent but be loving and let him know that you are happy about his accomplishments. Again, dont forget the treat.. As you work with your dog, you will begin to understand each other. He will understand that you are the leader and he must obey your commands. Dogs are dogs and do not understand English, therefore, they learn by example. They will learn to obey your foreign commands if you make it worth their while, so, again, dont forget the treats and the showing of your approval.

When you have taken care of your dogs healthcare, grooming, feeding and have made him feel loved, accepted, appreciated and have decorated him like a five-star general, and have taught him manners, obedience and how to behave around others, your dog will be the talk of your friends and neighbors and all who may come in contact with you and your pet. You can feel a sense of pride because you are the reason your dog behaves the way he does. Dont be surprised if others ask you for help or if they question you about How you did it;
