The need for an AdSense alternative continues to grow. Soon Yahoo will be releasing their YPN to the general publishing world, and word is MSN also has something in the works. Until recently, there hasn't really been a decent alternative to AdSense. Onto the stage rushes Chitika - a great looking PPC advertising opportunity that delivers small pictures and a nice tabbed ad, delivering 4 or five times the information that one AdSense ad delivers. This content can be keyword targeted, giving you even greater control over your ads. Recently Chitika started offering alternate ads, which allow you to show whatever ad you want to someone on your site that is not approved in the Chitika system to click. This is good because, if they saw and clicked your ad, you wouldn't get paid for it anyway. So it's better to just put an alternative ad, such as an ad from Commission Junction or something that has the potential to still pay you.
