Five Easy Steps to Building Your Website

Does the thought of learning how to set up a website or running an online business leave a big knot in your stomach? I know it did for me! I didn't know where to start, who to trust, how much money I needed to start an online business, and not too much about internet marketing either.

Well, Im here to tell you that its all possible. Even if youre new to the internet marketing arena or if you have some previous marketing skills and/or experience. It doesnt matter. Im here to help you get started and walk you through every step of the way.

Ok, so lets start with building a website (dont worry, its easier than you think). Ill keep things simple and easy to understand.

Ready, lets go!

Step One: Choose your website theme. Your site theme is basically an idea of what you want your website to be about (ie: your theme could be about baby clothes or baby toys). This is an important step. Take your time to think about your website theme. Do some brainstorming. Make a list of your hobbies, your interests, your talents, things you have done in your career, special skills you have learned along the way.

Step two: Decide on your domain name. What is a domain name? Your domain name is nothing more than your website address. You can purchase a domain name from either Nameboy.com or GoDaddy.com for a small fee, usually under $15. Its a good idea to keep the theme of your site in mind when choosing your domain name.

Step three: Select a hosting service. Your website hosting is your web space thats connected to the internet. You can do a search on Google.com for website hosting services and it will give you an extensive list of hosting services. Take your time to look at the plan and features that each one offers before making your decision.

Step four: HTML for your site. HTML means hypertext markup language. HTML is basically a set of instructions that your computer understands/reads to build your webpage. An excellent website to learn all about HTML would be davesite.com. This site is awesome for beginners and its also an interactive (hands-on) site.

Step five: Content for your site. Be sure to provide good content for your visitors. Keep the content on your site accurate and updated. Offer your visitors useful information and help for their problems. Try to find a way to make their problems easier, this way they will be eager to come back to your site or to give you a good referral.

So, those are the five easy steps to building your first website. Nothing too complicated, right? Im sure if I can do it, so can you. Heres your first assignment: I want you to get a pen and paper out and start with step #1; take your time, believe in yourself, and dont stop. Keep going, no matter what, while its fresh in your mind. Dont allow any disruptions. Stay focused!

If you enjoy working with other people, if you can follow easy step by step instructions, learning new concepts, and teaching others, and would like to create an awesome life for yourself and your family then this is the right opportunity for YOU!

Wishing you success, happiness, and good health!
