Planning Your Business by Using Fear

Using Your Fears to Help Your Business

We are almost always afraid of something. Whenever you feel any negative feeling, it's useful to ask yourself, "What am I afraid of?" "What is so fearful about about what I'm doing?" In order to un-paralyze yourself you need to identify the fear.

Let's look at how some fears in business can actually help us. Keep in mind that an extreme amount of the fear is unhealthy for us, but in moderation, fear helps our businesses thrive.

Fear of failure -

Helps us accomplish our goals. Motivates us to prepare, organize, and think.

Fear of losing control -

Helps us take the steps necessary to regain control.

Fear of success -

Helps us define what success really means to us individually vs. collectively.

Fear of the unknown -

Helps us take precautions and prevents us from unreasonable risk.

Fear of dependence -

Helps us develop our own resources and become self-sufficient.

Wow, isn't it amazing how positive things can come from fear. Remember, if you never make mistakes your business is perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect business.

Take an oath to thrive in 2006 without excuses. Most of the time we are not accomplishing all that we want because of one simple thing. "We get in our own way," usually because of fear. Yes I said it. Guess what, I get in my own way sometimes as well. The key is to recognize it, admit it, and move beyond it.

Until next time, Efficio wishes you a profitable 2006.
