The No.1 Self-Improvement Tip - Your Thought Machine

The best self-improvement tip is to know the make up of your thoughts and emotions that make up your mind.

Let me explain.

Complex structures evolve out of simpler ones.

You probably have had the experience of listening to music with a set of headphones and adjusting the balance so that the sound seems to appear inside your head - that is a standing wave. The balanced interaction of the two waves from the left and right channels of your music player forms the standing wave within your brain. Thus something new, like a new more complex dimension, comes out of the balanced interaction of the two simple waves.

Your thoughts are formed in a similar way. Thoughts are new, more complex wave-forms that come out of the balanced interaction of the wave activity within your brain.

Dr. Karl Pribram and others have demonstrated that your brain activity is like 3D images called holograms. Each of your thoughts come out of the balanced inteaction of opposing waves within the fluids of your brain. These waves are caused by vibrations of your brain's nerve endings that are stimulated by existing information as your memories, by new information as sensations through your senses, and by combinations of these.

The saying, "as above so below; as within so without" applies to your brains. Dr. Michael Gershon discovered that you have another brain in your belly. It is similar to the one in your head, yet smaller and very powerful.

You think more with your head and you feel more with your body, so your thoughts are associated more with your head and your emotions are associated more with your body.

Your emotions are formed in the same way as your thoughts. Emotions are new waves that come out of the balanced interaction of the wave activity within your brains.

Your body is an interconnected whole and your two brains are directly connected via your vagus nerve. The wave interaction of the thoughts and emotions of both sides of your brains above and below forms a standing wave, or new, more complex dimension, called your mind.

In the same way that a hologram is like a 3D image of a still photograph, a standing wave is like a 3D motion picture. The difference is the new dimension of the continuous motion of standing waves. And a thought or an emotion is like a hologram whereas your mind is like a standing wave.

What does this have to do with self-improvement?

You are the conductor of your mind-body and like any engineer you are most effective when you know the workings of your machine.

Now that you know how your mind comes out of coupling of waves within your brain you know more about it and you can be a better conductor. This means that you can rebuild your thought machine at the root level by erasing waves of negative memories and feelings and replace them with positive waves that enhance your self-improvement.
